Tenby

Easily one of Wales’s most popular destinations, pretty Tenby is located in the southwest of the country. The town itself is situated on a hilltop, overlooking a picturesque harbour and some of Pembrokeshire’s most picturesque beaches, and is steeped in history, surrounded by surviving 13th Century stone walls, with the ruins of Tenby Castle stand on a headland in the background.

Steeped in history, and the site of the ‘Last Invasion of Britain’ more than 200 years ago, Fishguard is the twin town of Goodwick and occupies a perfect position on the western coast of Wales, where dramatic cliffs stand proud about golden beaches and smuggler coves.

Now a major ferry port, it consists of two parts. Lower Fishguard, which is set in a deep valley where the River Gwaun joins the sea and is where the harbour is, and the Main Town, which is reached via steep and winding road.
