Your Self Drive Itinerary (subject to change)
This wonderful self-drive holiday is based at the Royal Victoria Hotel which is ideally located at the foot of Mount Snowdon and set within 30 acres of its own grounds.
There is so much to see and do right on the doorstep such as taking a scenic train trip to the visitor centre at the summit of Mount Snowdon, visiting the Welsh National Slate Museum in Dinorwic Slate Quarry or exploring Padarn Country Park with miles of trails (from easy to challenging). There are also Vintage steam train trips or watersports at Padarn Lake.
If you wish to travel a little further afield, there’s the historic town of Caernarfon, dominated by its famous castle. The Isle of Anglesey has much of its coastline declared as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is waiting to be discovered, the seaside resort of Llandudno lies on a sandy bay between the Great and Little Orme, with Snowdonia towering in the background - it is, without a doubt, the ‘Queen of Welsh Resorts’. Portmeirion Village, created by architect Clough Williams-Ellis in 1925 and made famous by the 1960s television series ‘The Prisoner’ is considered to be one of Wales premier attractions and just waiting to be explored.
