Greenway House:
Greenway is a wonderful place to discover, with its rich historical architecture and the wildness of its garden. The garden drifts down the hillside towards the river, and is famous particularly for its spring flowers. The nearby village of Galmpton features as Nasse House at Nassecombe in 'Dead Man’s Folly' (1956) whilst the fishing town of Brixham appears as Brixwell. Greenway appears again in 'Five Little Pigs' (1943) as well as 'Towards Zero' (1944) and as Sunny Point House in 'Ordeal by Innocence' (1958).
Burgh Island:
Burgh Island is widely accepted as providing the inspiration behind the Christie novels 'Evil Under the Sun' and 'And Then There Were None', and as a primary filming location for a number of Agatha Christie movies. This is only accessible by sea tractor or by foot at low tide.
Cockington Village & Country Park:
Cockington Country Park is a beautiful mix of picturesque well-ordered garden landscapes, open parkland, rural countryside and substantial woodland and a series of hidden lakes. Here young Agatha would spend time with her friends the Mallock family who lived there at the time.
Morwellham Quay:
Morwellham Quay is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining World Heritage site, an historic copper ore port, village, copper mine & railway where you can take in Victorian miners' cottages, cooperage, the blacksmiths and assayer's work places, quayside and village centre. Here you can opt for a 1 hour 15 minute train ride through the George and Charlotte Copper Mine.
