Jersey Holiday

First performed in 1950 as the army’s contribution to the Edinburgh Festival, the Military Tattoo has become a much-loved annual event, held for a period of three weeks in August on the floodlit Castle Esplanade. Whilst primarily a military display, it is a unique, colourful and exciting performance of military tattoos performed by the British Armed Forces, Commonwealth and international military marching bands in a dramatic evening setting high above the city.
