Excursion Programme
FULL DAY: A full day through the superb Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its grand landscapes and rugged uplands. We arrive at Fishguard, scene of the film version of ‘Under Milk Wood’ and divided into an upper and lower town, linked by a steep hill. Moving on we come to St David’s, birthplace of the patron saint of Wales. This miniature city is no larger than a village but has a small cathedral founded in AD550.
FULL DAY: The market town of Cardigan is an essential stop on our visit to Cardigan Bay. The slow pace of change in this part of Wales has helped preserve the 19th character and charm of this ancient town. The narrow streets, traditional shops, inns and eating places many with their original Georgian and Victorian fronts help create a unique visitor experience.
FULL DAY:To the Gower Peninsula, stopping at the Mumbles, located on a five mile stretch of Swansea Bay and retaining its Victorian seaside charm with its piers and long promenade before continuing around this rocky secluded peninsula, a land of limestone cliffs, remote bays and miles of golden sandy beaches.
