DAY ONE:
From your local joining points we head for our Channel crossing and onwards to our overnight stop in Germany near Cologne.
DAY TWO:
Our journey continues towards the Schwaz area in Austria and our hotel in Vomp for the next 6 nights. Enjoy an included welcome drink this evening with your hosts.
DAY THREE:
Today we include a guided visit of Innsbruck with its charming old town and the famous Golden Roof. Following a visit to the magnificent Imperial Palace we make our way to the heights of Innsbruck for a thrilling Funicular trip to the Hungerburg. As we ascend, by cable car, to the Seegrube you will enjoy marvellous views over the valley and the Alps.
DAY FOUR:
We enjoy a pleasant ride on board a former postal carriage to discover the fantastic Olympic region of Axams, Bergitz and Gotzens. At the end of the ride there is a glass of homemade schnapps and music for your enjoyment before we ascent to the top of the Bergisel Ski Jump tower, by funicular and elevator, for panoramic views over the Innsbruck region.
DAY FIVE:
Another spectacular day which starts with a visit to Tratzberg Castle for a captivating audio-guided tour followed by an included lunch in Stans. We then make our way to the former silver mining town of Schwaz for a guided tour of the medieval quarter. Next to Rattenberg and the ‘Nagelschmiedhauser’, former blacksmith houses, dating from the 12th century, that are carved into the rock. We also visit the museum, enjoy schnapps tasting and the amazing ‘spice counter’.
DAY SIX:
Through the picturesque landscapes of the Sellraintal we stop in Kuhtal, Austria’s highest winter sports resort for more breathtaking views. We include a guided visit of the Baroque Abbey of Stams before our included lunch. In the afternoon we make our way into Stans and participate in a Strudel seminar to discover the taste and original recipe, which is accompanied by a cup of coffee!
DAY SEVEN:
An enthralling day as we head to Achensee, the Tyrol’s largest lake, where we include a boat trip from Achenkirch to Pertisau followed by lunch in an Alpine restaurant in the Karwendal Natural Park. We then head to Kaltenbach, in the Ziller Valley, for a memorable steam train trip to Mayrhofen – with schnapps and music included to round off a perfect day!
DAY EIGHT:
Today we depart our hotel and make our way to our overnight stop in Germany in the region of Cologne.
DAY NINE:
After breakfast we make our way towards our Channel crossing and homeward journey
